Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located?
The sanctuary is located in Medford, New Jersey.
Can I visit or volunteer?
We are in the beginning stages of building the rescue and are not currently allowing visitations or bringing on volunteers. We are working as hard as we can to finish a few major items before we open the (barn) doors.
Do you need donations?
Oh my gosh, do we ever! Nothing like starting a cat sanctuary in this economy! We have an Amazon Wish List that you can find on our “donate” tab. We’re also hoping to partner with bigger companies once we have our 501c3 status. Anything and everything helps!
Where did you get the idea for this rescue?
Brian Carns and his family have been residents of Medford for decades. Brian has a HUGE love for cats, especially strays. He has a big heart and has always dreamed of starting a cat sanctuary. One thing led to another and with the right people who shared Brian’s vision, the sanctuary has begun to progress!
Are you taking in cats?
We are not currently taking on more cats at the moment, but we hope to soon! It all depends on how we can raise funds and supplies for the building.
What type of cats will live at the sanctuary?
This sanctuary is for cats that are deemed “unadoptable”, meaning they would not do well in a regular home environment. Some cats did not get enough socialization when they were kittens and are not the friendliest but are not feral enough to live in an outdoor colony. These are the types of cats we will care for. We hope that with love and care, some of them will one day be adoptable! We are willing to give them the time and patience they need to flourish, and if they don’t, they will live with us as long as they are here on this earth.
Are there other animals at the farm?
Yes! There are dogs, goats, horses and mini horses! The cats love watching the goats through the windows!
