Summer Updates from Carns Furever Farm Cat Sanctuary
As the summer flies by, here at Carns Furever Farm Cat Sanctuary, we find ourselves reflecting on a season filled with both joy and sorrow. Our sanctuary has experienced growth, community support, and the inevitable cycle of life. Here's what we've been up to this summer.
Welcoming New Feline Friends
We are happy to announce the arrival of four new residents to our barn: Cha Cha, Katrina, Egg McMuffin, and Brownie (plus many kittens we’ve taken in). Each of these delightful cats brings their unique charm to our sanctuary, and they have quickly found their place among our feline family.
Their integration into the barn has been smooth, and they are already making friends with their fellow residents. Cha Cha is highly adoptable and would love to find a forever home of his own!
Fundraising for Improvements
In our continuous effort to improve the living conditions for our feline friends, we are currently raising funds for much-needed renovations. Our goal is to install new sheetrock and flooring in the barn before fall, ensuring a cozy and safe environment for all our cats. We appreciate the generosity of our supporters and are hopeful to reach our fundraising targets soon.
Enjoying the Catio
The cats have been making the most of the summer days in our catio, a safe outdoor space where they can enjoy fresh air, sunshine, and the occasional butterfly. It's heartwarming to see them lounging and playing in this natural setting, which is crucial for their well-being and happiness. They absolutely love it!
Farewell to Bronx and Smokey
With heavy hearts, we said goodbye to two cherished members of our sanctuary, Bronx and Smokey. Both cats passed away peacefully due to old age, surrounded by love and care. Bronx was pnly with us for a short time. We took him in knowing he was in congestive heart failure, but we wish we had more time to show him love and comfort. Smokey was a gentle soul who loved being outdoors and the freedom to roam the farm. They will be dearly missed, but their memories will forever remain with us.

As we look forward to the rest of the year, we remain committed to providing a safe haven for cats in need. Our sanctuary is a place of hope, care, and unconditional love.
